It is always a good idea for people to spend their holidays by the sea, assuming, of course, the whether is good. Few things could be more impressive than the rolling waves of the great sea. Standing by it, looking at the sunrises and sunsets, listening to the insistent booming sound, feeling the salty winds, has always been a great experience to enjoy the beauty and mighty of the nature. Watching the forever rolling waves and immersing yourself in the power of them, you may also feel the essence of the great round of nature, where joys and sorrows, youth and maturity, growth and decays, death and rebirth, all have their parts. In this way, when we share our joys and sorrows with the sea, more often than not, we will find validation of the former and solace of the later, and it is from the healing power of the nature that we get inspired and throw ourselves again into the rigors of an ordinary life.
I have always been a lover of the sea, and deep blue has long been my favorite color. However, the first time I saw the sea in my own eyes was as late as in my college time. Standing on the bank of a port, I got exhilarated by the great view of the landscape but meanwhile intimidated by the forever rolling waves that would carry our ferry. After getting abroad, I spent most of my time on the deck, enjoying the extraordinary sight of the endless sea that stretched far to the end of the sky. Everyone got a little seasick, but all the great view soon took our minds off the unfitness. My friend took me a picture when I was stretching my arms and roaring to the sky. That experience may somehow have faded out in the average life, but the inspiring young man in the picture always reminds me of the happiness that the sea has brought to me.
