Today I found Ariel mad about kids breaking the glass of iPad. It's not a new thing, but she was rather mad. I talked to Jace about the issue and he agreed to control his temper. As he literally smashed the device against his knees when he was not getting good scores in Chinese homework.
Before I talked to him, I reminded myself how great these two kids are and how pleasant they could be. I also reminded myself how Jace loved me, demonstrated by the cards that he sent me for Father's Day. Even facing hard situations, we can become positive and hopeful, not to mention this is only for an electronic device.
This year, when I realize I am growing near 40, I made a determination to become a happy man by my own choice. I won't allow others to control my mood. We ought to become master of our own thoughts and moods.
